Cluster anchoring chain
The cluster anchoring chain is responsible for ensuring the tamperproof nature of the system by providing an anchoring mechanism across all blockchains running within a cluster. It sources block headers from each of these blockchains and creates its own blocks based on them. These blocks act as a reference to the state of the system, and their role is crucial for maintaining network security.
After the cluster anchoring chain creates its blocks, the system anchoring chain comes into play. It queries the block headers generated by the cluster anchoring chain and creates its own anchoring blocks. This multi-layered anchoring process helps in maintaining the overall integrity and security of the entire ecosystem, ensuring that any attempt to tamper with the system can be detected and corrected.
This anchoring process is essential to keep the network decentralized, tamperproof, and trustworthy, especially when multiple blockchains are interconnected in the Chromia ecosystem.
