Transfer assets
FT4 assets on Chromia can be transferred both on-chain (within a single blockchain) and cross-chain (across different blockchains within the Chromia network).
On-chain transfers
On-chain transfers refer to transactions that occur within the same blockchain. These are the standard transfers where assets are moved from one account to another on the same chain, securely and efficiently.
Cross-chain transfers
Chromia’s multi-chain architecture allows assets to be transferred between blockchains within the Chromia network. This is known as a cross-chain transfer. Even though these transactions span different blockchains, they remain within the Chromia ecosystem.
Transfer to EVM environments
In addition to on-chain and cross-chain transfers within Chromia, the platform also supports cross-environment transfers to EVM-compatible blockchains such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and others. This is facilitated through a bridge that connects Chromia’s native assets to the EVM ecosystem.
EVM bridge
The Chromia-EVM bridge allows FT4 assets to be transferred to and from Ethereum and other EVM-based blockchains. This expands the utility of FT4 assets, enabling their use in external decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, NFT marketplaces, and other applications within the EVM world.
For detailed information on how the bridge works and how to transfer assets between Chromia and EVM environments, refer to the EVM Bridge Documentation.
