Withdraw CHR from mainnet

This topic helps you withdraw CHR from Chromia mainnet to Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

Step 1: Create a Chromia account

To interact with the Chromia network, you must first generate a Chromia account. You can achieve this through either a bridge deposit or by staking CHR.

Deposit or stake CHR

  1. Bridge Deposit

    • Go to Chromia Vault.

    • Connect your wallet and click Transfer.

    • Select the network and deposit at least 10 CHR.

    • Select the network, either BSC or ETH, and deposit at least 10 CHR to transfer your funds to the Chromia Network.

    • Approve and confirm the transfer and wait for 50-100 blocks.

    • Click your wallet address, create a Chromia account, and sign in to MetaMask.

    • Click on your wallet address, create a Chromia account, and sign it with your wallet.

  2. Staking

    • Go to Chromia Staking.

    • Connect your wallet and click the Staking link.

    • Stake at least 10 CHR, select a provider, and create a Chromia account.

    • Sign the transaction in MetaMask.

    • Stake at least 10 CHR by depositing on BSC or ETH, select a provider, and sign the transaction with your wallet.

      note

      Your stake will remain on BSC or ETH and will not be transferred to the Chromia Network.

    • Go the the Container Lease page and follow the flow to create a Chromia account.

Step 2: Initiate and complete withdrawal

  1. Initiate withdrawal

    • Go to Chromia Bridge.

    • Connect your wallet and click Initiate Transaction to lock tokens and generate proof.

    • Sign the withdrawal request in MetaMask.

  2. Wait for the withdrawal period

    • Wait for three days.
  3. Complete withdrawal

    • Return to the bridge, finish the transaction, and receive your funds.
